- facoryExplorerYou see a lot of units and 'stuff' you have seen before. The reason we go is to try to get some new ideas we can use in our camper. For example, last year we saw how they utilized a fold down shelf to extend the kitchen counter. We put one in our trailer and love it. There are new products coming out every year. Another example is the Tailgator fully automatic satellite antenna and the companion receiver for Dish Network. We bought the combo at the Atlanta show and now we have satellite TV on the road. We're not interested in a new trailer, only ways to make ours better.
It's things like this that bring us back. We love it and wouldn't miss it. Besides that, it makes a nice day trip for us. - Passin_ThruExplorerThey have about 2000 trailers all with the same floor plan, all the same color, all the same graphics and you go around and look at them until you realize you are halfway through aggain. They have motorhomes no one can afford and then a kind of circus-Camping World arena selling stuff like grease for your television knobs and shoe inserts because your feet are so sore you can't get back to you POV and back wax. Just ask facory, he's been to one too. They sell stuff you can't believe has been invented and allowed at an RV show.
- 2_RetiredExplorerWe're going too. DH has a chance to see his favorite chiropractor who now serves the Atlanta area (originally from the Jersey Shore) and we'll combine that with a visit to the show.
- love2rvcampExplorerWife and I will be. We love to go and just look around. People laugh when we say we are going on a date night to the RV show. But you guys all know what we mean :)
- facoryExplorerWe see many many RV shows every year. They are called campgrounds. Best place to get the true skinny on anything you see. Just ask the owners.

We have never been to any type of rv show. What are they like?
Chance to see lots of RV's in one spot, plus some accessories and misc stuff (info on camping areas, state parks, food, clothes).
The Atlanta show, is 8 dealerships, representing their brands. Some of the manufactuers reps are there also, so you may get better info.
Biggest thing is you get to see and go in many options at once.
From what I hear one of the largest ones is a couple weeks away in Tampa, you should head on down there:
Florida Supershow

My imagination, or is the 'super show' in Tampa becoming less super? Have gone many times in the last 12 years. I looked at the show map on the FRVDA's website and seems to be fewer exhibitors but larger exhibits by some manufacturers/dealers. Industry contraction? Expense of exhibiting at the show? - facoryExplorerEasy trip for you. We're coming from north GA up near TN/NC line.
