Had a Gen on the rear of mine. Bolted down to a tray that used the rear hitch. It made the trailer rear end heavy and dragged the ground at the slightest driveway.
Plus, it's too heavy to remove all the time, so I ran it while still on the tray. Vibrated the trailer and was louder.
It dragged often enough that when I removed it, I had to cut it off. Which wasn't hard, so the security concern is real.
Don't do it is my advice. Put it in the tow vehicle. If you don't want to lift a heavy Gen in and out of the truck, by two smaller ones.
