What a cheap crummy way to construct a tie-down corner on a TC! That is NOT tied in at all. Simple screws into wood and they expect it to hold with the flexing and bouncing a TC experiences? Are they nuts? Thru bolting with an adequate bridged metal plate well secured on both sides of the squeezed sandwich and the use of plenty of good glue/adhesive is required if they want it to last more than a few years. Wood joints not sandwitched weaken over time with humidity/temperature variations any way so why would they use this very poor construction method for the mounting retention task at hand???
