Hi all, thanks for all your feedback, but I was simply trying to find out if other wolf creek and arctic fox owners have a splice with their tie down anchors. There seems to be some conflicting comments with the factory and with what other owners are saying.
I will post the story in another thread.
Matt Turly who I understand is the head of the wolf creek line with Northwood manufacturing said the skirts are pre-assembled in another part of the factory and they attach them in the assembly line. It depends if the guy installing the skirts is right handed or left handed as that determines where the splice is located. He said "Nolan, I under stand the issue with the location of splice for the tie-down but the real issue comes with the Bed mounted tie down system that you have on your truck? the Factory only recommends that you tie our campers on your truck, with a Frame mounted system the bed of your truck has rubber bumpers that allow the camper to move with the bed of the truck rather than with the main frame of the truck, in the future you can avoid any more problems with tie dowm issues by using a Frame mounted system go on to Tork lift .com and look at there system. Thanks Matt"
My question Are all anchor points spliced in? Or is it just the passenger side front?
Matt said "No, Because the wing boxes are all over 8 feet there are going to be splices weather it be in the front or the back the plywood has a splice and the black Tru-Grit that you see will also have a splice in it also. Thanks Matt"
So I am confused here because Mello Mike said he has no evidence of splicing on his Wolf Creek, but the factory says all the wing boxes over 8' have to be spliced in.
