Full aluminum frame is looking better and better! Tie down points would appear to be a critical structural component on slide-ins. What is with the manufacturer not paying attention to this no-brainer concept? I guess I'm just too picky for mass produced consumer items. We live with what we can afford apparently. There is a void in the marketplace for a really dependable, leak-free, structurally sound, economical, light weight slide-in and nature abhors a void. There is hope!
All Wolf Creek truck campers are full aluminum framed.
I wouldn't call that full aluminum framed. If somebody told me that a camper had a full aluminum frame, I would expect it to be aluminum at any load bearing point - jack mounts, tie down points, roof, wall, and floor structures, AC mounts, Water heater mounts, battery compartment etc. I would refer to that as an aluminum skeleton, or maybe a aluminum superstructure.
I'm really glad I found this thread. I've been looking to get my first TC, and with a lack of good used units out there, I was looking hard at a new Wolf Creek 850, based on the reputation of the AF units and b/c I thought they genuinely had a "full aluminum frame." This doesn't inspire confidence with regard to their other marketing claims, or their build quality.
