You know, Mike. If it weren't for your blog, I probably would have ended up getting a camper that I was totally unhappy with. I respect your opinion and viewpoint, but I think you (and anyone else) who have contacted NW about this issue have been misled--on possibly two points. Here's why:
No seam, splice or otherwise line on mine.

But how can this be? NW "says" it isn't so.

Nolan's new camper, the seam is clearly there:

That's the outside, obviously. Now we go inside mine:
Uh oh! A seam. A splice. All that's not nice.
Passenger side:
This is only visible by removing the heater vent and inspecting.
Took me all of 30 seconds to remove and snap some photos.

Driver side:

Oops. Another splice. Again, only visible by inspection from the inside.

So, what does this mean? It means that not all units have visible splices from the outside. Without confirmation with photos (have yet to see proof otherwise), it's not certain that the short bed models is any different. Please, someone with a SB unit post up some pics. It would be helpful.
Regardless, NW is full of BS and probably for the exact reasons that I cited. Someone prove me wrong with something other than "NW told me so".
I took some of these photos this evening while at the same time grilling dinner.
