Well, we'll see what comes out of this. As a military member, I have access to legal services, and plan on taking legal action against Northwood, since this was a previously known failure point. Although I suffered no injuries to my family, I can't stomach letting this go until it happens to someone else. Something that should have, and could have, been addressed. It just not worth someones life in my book...
I'll keep you guys posted.
Mkuzmuk,
Curious to know what your dealer said? If Northwood demands torklift tie downs why did they insist to put happi jac on? With NW thinking your dealer is at fault not them. If you hadn't put torklift on the rear I believe your camper would have ejected from your truck and someone could have been seriously injured. Why would a camper manufacture make a truck camper only compatible with one tie down system and if you use another one your camper will eject from your truck? You would think there would be some kind of standard and pull out test the anchor bolts would have been subjected to at the factory. One big reason I first went with the WC was them advertising the anchor bolts were bolted through the frame. I guess thats why I am so blown away!
Are you going to get your tie downs fixed? Or get rid of your WC? If you get it fixed please post pics of it.
Thanks
Nolan
