The spliced-in wood is clearly there. Yes. I don't dispute that. What I don't see is the line in the black trugrit. It ripped clean, but if you look toward the inside where it is still attached. the trugrit has no line. THIS is what you've been saying, that ALL WC LB's have. Mine does NOT look like Nolans on the exterior. The wood is obviously spliced behind the trugrit which clearly obscures the wood seam on mine and mk's. Since this is the case, that ruins the theory of "If you see a line near the front anchor point on the exterior, you have a spliced in piece of wood. The LB's have spliced in wood at the front anchor point. I got that. Fine. But according to what you've been saying, they are all visible from the outside because of the line in the trugrit. Now, since that's not always the case, and without having access to a SB model, I was simply inquiring about the SB's being the same.
Regardless, NW says the anchor points are bolted through the frame, and they advertise as much. This is not true. That's called false advertising and misrepresentation.
Secondly, the current design is clearly unacceptable no matter what tie down system they recommend.
Third, they are denying it as an eligible warranty claim.
Lastly, how many will end up failing before they correct it?
And what of existing owners? What do we do? Fix it at OUR cost? Disregard any moral issues and sell it 'as is' to an unsuspecting person or family? I don't think so.
