Here is my 2014 Wolf Creek 850 Short Bed. It definitely has the same seam on the inside as the long beds, with none visible on the outside.
Thanks for posting those, morsnow. Sometimes it pays to be persistent.

Hello All, Just wanted to give an update on the 2014 Wolf Creek 850's. I just got word from Apache Camping Center that Northwood has indeed changed the Tie Down system on ALL Wolf Creek models to the same tie down system/anchor bolts as the Arctic Fox system. So my next question is,
I am disappointed that NW would use this design and then make claims about about changing it.

If it's a result of wear and tear over time, then all of us Wolf Creek owners should be concerned.
Not quite. The tie down splice issue only affects the long bed Wolf Creek 850 models. The short bed models have no such splice
Mike, I think you got the better-made of the all model years. Still not "bolted through the frame" though.

I wonder why that is? Aren't both models identical dimensionally in those areas? I'm not so sure till I see both.
Either way, you have to admit, a few small diameter lag screws hardly constitute "bolted through the frame" as they advertise. I'm also disappointed that they were supposedly going to update the anchor points to what AF's have, but clearly haven't. I kinda feel like they said it just to humor you and your blog readers and Nolan.

Here is an Engineer report by Dr. Spencer Magleby is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University. Hope this will help us all understand a bit more as most of us are not engineers.
Wow. Flashback. Way back when I was first started looking into Rv's, I came across this. Interesting how all the forces play a role. I've been thinking, "Where was that article I read way back" Thanks.
