An update from 2014. My Wolf Creek 850 is a brand new 2014, and just experienced the same failure. Luckily, I noticed it in my mirror, and suffered no other damage to the camper or truck. It happened while cruising on the highway. (Not off road, etc).
THIS ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN FIXED in 2014's!
Also, interestingly, Northwood says this is NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY
Everything else aside, The fact that they won't warranty it is troubling. Nobody's really talking about THAT. Why would anyone want buy a product from a company that won't stand behind 100%?
That's a good question for the OP.
1. My 2012 WC was out of warranty when this occured. So it never crossed my mind.
2. My insurance covered everything.
3. Northwood gave me a really good deal on my 2015. Had they charged me full price there is no way in **ell I would have ever bought a second one.
4. They promised to reinforce the tie downs just like AF
5. I was not aware this is NOT covered and I am just as alarmed by everyone else. I can't imagine if my kids were in the back and someone was injured and Northwood saying "sorry not covered".
6. I cannot seem to find an equivelant long bed model that is comparable to the 850 for a family of 4 and still believe this is one of the better campers on the market. Rzar66 I probably should have bought your Lance 850, but thought buying a brand new camper I would have a full warranty on everything!!!
