Atwood water question
Long time lurker..first time poster!
I've found tons of posts on Atwood water heaters, but none answer my questions.
I have a 6 gallon electric/gas water heater. Electric side will not heat water, on/off switch on wall will not light up. The propane component works fine, heats water and the on/off switch lights up.
Checked the existing element against a new element, both read 9 Ohms.
Connected 1 lead of my multimeter to the white connection of my element and a lead to a ground, had 9ohms?
Connected 1 lead of my multimeter to the black connection of my element and a lead to a ground, had zero ohms.
I'm getting 115V to the relay switch.
I'm getting 115V between the connectors on the relay.
The only item I couldn' check was the actual wire from the wall switch to the relay, I don' know how to check this.(tried it with ohms and got 0)
Checked thee thermal cutoff, it had continuity.
Anyone have any suggestions on what I could try next without going to a stearlership. I've unplugged and reseated everything.
Thanks in Advance!
