A bit off topic, but just got back from the UK. Rented a diesel, VW golf. It's computer said we were averaging 60 plus mpg. Never did do the math myself, so don't know for 100% sure.

They are small, don't think I would want one. (as a spoiled American). But boy that would sure change the game, if we all drove those. I would think
