My wife and I have a 2002 Kimberley Kamper. We've towed it all through California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, Alaska and the list goes on. We've upgraded to a 38 foot 5er for a different outdoor experience, but this pop up remains our favorite. Ours is equipped with a 12 foot aluminum boat, folding boat trailer and a 9.9hp Honda outboard motor. Addition equipment includes heated bed mattress, interior heater, Engel fridge, solar charging system, stainless steel frame mounted storage boxes and a large aluminum nose mounted pantry storage box along with onboard inverter and entertainment system. Wonderful off-road, go anywhere experience.
That is an experience for so many Australians, that is what the Unique RV's of my country bring - toe2towExplorerMy wife and I have a 2002 Kimberley Kamper. - RoyBExplorer IIIThis is the Australian Design I would love to incorporate into my Starcraft 14RT OFF-ROAD CAMPER...

My 14RT has this 5X8 Front deck which we only use for piling on all the camping supplies we bring along with us for our trips. My 12-foot camper box along with the enclosed storage drawers etc would create a very good camping trailer combo for OFF-ROAD trips.

Then I would add this Australian design independent suspension under my trailer...
always got to have pipe dreams hehe...

Some time ago one of my sisters found that video and all three were raving over it, remembering their popup camping days as kids. Then they found out how much it costs. Much of RVing in Australia is well off-road, needing something light and agile, so the market is more open to very well equipped, very well built, small tent trailers, at prices we would consider high for even a fairly large TT.
It is actually a South African unit ,but now built in Australia. You are right there are many builders of these in Australia RVing in Australia, does vary, you have these Camper Trailers that can go to places that a conventional RV cannot go No light and agile is not a prerequisite for going off road in Australia, we have Off Road Motorhomes as well as Caravans
t. Not listed is Crossover or hybrid Caravans, that are in between a Caravan and a Campertrailer - tatestExplorer IISome time ago one of my sisters found that video and all three were raving over it, remembering their popup camping days as kids.
