Auxiliary Gas Tank for Tow Vehicle

Planning to purchase a new Ford F 350 with the diesel engine, crew cab and short bed. It only comes with a 26 gallon fuel tank. I would like to purchase an auxiliary fuel tank. Do any of you who have experience with these kinds of matters have any recommendations for me? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

  • Is this truck for towing a fifth wheel? If so the aux tank may not fit wirh a hitch installed. Why your relunctance to go with a long bed? Just curious, because with the long bed you get a 35 gallon tank. More than enough fuel for 300 to 400 miles between fill ups

I know that Transfer Flow is one of the best engineered tanks and transfer systems. I looked into getting an in-bed tank for my truck several years ago. They're located in northern California and the shipping from there to Florida discouraged me. I'm still thinking about getting one.

The ONLY issue with this tank is that he is looking for a short box... That will not leave a lot of bed space...

  • I did NOT buy an auxiliary tank , BUT I did replace my brand new small tank with a Titan 51 gallon replacement tank... It is made to fit directly into the space that the OEM tank hung in... I love the tank , as it gives me freedom to get Diesel where I want , and NOT when I have to..

    Good Luck , Joe
