"Auxillary" Fuel tank vs installing a new/larger tank

Since the advent of the stupid safety cans, now there’s good plastic fuel jugs in every color almost.
Those jugs that I used to call race gas jugs are now at all the farm stores in several colors.
Of course they’re “ not” for “gasoline” wink wink.
But they sure do work great!
