No, I was just comparing both engines as either is a significant upgrade from my 5.3 Being a 2500 (Suburban,Yukon,Avalanche, or Excursion), it's much more stable and better suited to hauling a trailer like mine. I had heard someone at work trying to say the 8.1 gets 5mpg. If that was true while towing, I'd scratch it off.
