6.0L in a heavier truck and worse first gear ratio will feel the same as your old 5.3L. Wait for an 8.1L. It will be worth it.

These were what I used when looking for a used 8.1L Burb. Add "2500" to the advanced search fields. You will still get erroneous half tons, but it helps filter out the majority.
On the Suburban, you can look at the 8th character of the VIN to determine 8.1L vs. 6.0L. You want 'G', not 'U'.
