Had an Avalanche 2500 for several years. One of my favorite vehicles ever. With stock tires (and 4.10's) I got around 10 city, 13 highway and 8-9 towing. After I upsized the wheels slightly (nothing crazy, just H2 wheels and 285's) it basically got 9 no matter what I did with it, though I could still squeeze out 13 on the highway.
