I'm not sure what do with it, maybe just cut it off. These strips have cut points just about every 3". Maybe its possible to buy them in 6m lengths instead of the 5m. The lights give off quite a bit of light while the awning is closed, it started pouring down rain as I was closing it so no pictures of that.
