Is there a scale within a reasonable "test drive distance" from the dealer? If you're lucky enough, when you are ready to lay money down, the stipulation for final sale could be a trip over the scales for confirmation of your intended use. That is my plan, scales about 15 miles from a trio of Chevy, Ford and Dodge dealers near me.
