axle rating
Buying a 2015 gmc denali 3500 srw crew...door plate has rear axle rating at 7050...can't find out how much of the truck wt is on rear axle...can't weight it till I buy it...is there a rule of thumb for this...duramax...thx..bo

Yes, you can. Don't be embarrassed to ask, insist upon it. Google "Cat Scales" or find some other. There are bound to be scales somewhere you can use for a small fee or maybe even free.- Is there a scale within a reasonable "test drive distance" from the dealer? If you're lucky enough, when you are ready to lay money down, the stipulation for final sale could be a trip over the scales for confirmation of your intended use. That is my plan, scales about 15 miles from a trio of Chevy, Ford and Dodge dealers near me.
