In that case, it was the frame of the cargo hatch leaking at the top (for the most part). Those door frames ore only held in place by 4 screws in the corners... If usure, I would take the door frame out; then you can clearly see if it ever leaked.
I completely agree with Joerge.
In fact, although we do not have the Lance, we have the same cheap hatch (frame, door and hinges) as you've photographed. These doors are where all the leaking took place in our Outfitter (the rubber seal/flange is useless, as it flattens over time; also, the hinge is terribly designed, and leaks like a sieve, and pours into the 4 screw positions, as Joerge mentions). I back caulked our radius (a tough maneuver in our case; in your case, you can caulk the back of the radius hatch frame from the inside.....once youve replaced the compartment floor !). Also, remove and replace all the soft steel screws (probably now completely rusty: some may snap when you try and back them out, so be careful with the drill) holding the hatch radius frame to camper wall, and dip threads of new screws in a good sealant, and re-insert.
Or, buy a much better quality hatch and frame, and install the whole thing yourself (with butyl tape, etc, etc)...
Good luck.
