- powderman426ExplorerI'm having trouble thinking of one. A male plug from the inverter would work, but have the danger of a hot plug if a child were to unplug it. Also if there was anything else on the circuit like a Frig or a Water Heater It Wouldn't Be Very Happy.
- HuntindogExplorerI'm not gonna tell you how to do it...
It is Soooo dangerous that the tool used to do it is illegal and is known as a SUICIDE----------. - pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Back feeding is illegal and should not be used.
Run a cord to where the shore power connects.
Put a shore power outlet in the power cord box.
Plug the shore power cord into the inverter powered outlet.
Turn off the breaker to the converter, and set the fridge to run on propane. - Backfeed NO.
Integrate the small inverter YES. You will need a $50 transfer switch.

This is what I was thinking. I could just turn off the breaker for the plugs and back feed with an inverter similar to what I did with a generator when my parents lost power. - rvtenExplorerAny 12 volt outlets ?
They work fine to charge our devices. - mboppExplorerWhy not use an inverter and plug a power strip into it?
DW can charge her phone off the Jensen DVD / radio since it has a USB port. - 2oldmanExplorer II

Not a good idea. This practice is very unsafe for the utility workers/lineman. An automatic transfer switch is required for a generator to feed the house. Finally as others have said use a power strip a lot safer for everyone. JMO
