Don't feel too bad, my wife and I are considering a TT in the future too after our whirlwind tour days are done. Only difference, we will still carry the TC while hauling the TT behind. Drop off the TT at our base camp, but still have the amenities of the TC during our day excurrisions combined with the ability to spend the night out in the boonies if we wish.
