I think if you are going from what I assume was a large TT to a popup TC it is a huge difference and it would be really hard to make everyone happy with that big of a change. When we went from our smallish 19' TT to an AF 990 it wasn't much of an adjustment at all. The floor space and bed are actually much larger than what our TT had. Most people don't jump in with a largish TC for their first one, but we determined that it wouldn't work with anything smaller.
It's funny, but we avid RV'ers often draw huge distinctions between vehicles that are actually pretty similar. My band mate (drummer) calls my rig a "Winnebago". Ha ha. In the end it's all just luxury camping and whatever works for you works.
