Back to the bright side

we looked at a Bigfoot 2500 10.4 in Florida had water in three compartments. went looked and bought a Northern Lite 10-2EX CD dry bath it came with a 12 volt television a 95 watt solar panel and onan generator same price. we are rid of the 40 foot beast and back in the truck camper world just need to add the torklift tie downs

  • I’ve got a 10-2 EXCD, as with all campers there are some small things to modify and improve but overall I believe it to be the best you can get, in terms of durability, leak resistance, and layout.
    First thing to do is install a power on/off switch for the wireless HappiJac control unit in the left rear compartment. It comes wired “on”’at all times, no switch.
    There are numerous reports of HappJacs randomly operating and sometimes tipping a camper over.
    My only big complaint is Northern Lite’s use of HappiJacs, for many other reasons than just that one, which is super easy to solve.
  • Might want to augment the solar system if you have room on the roof. Otherwise, have fun! Sounds great.
