I looked this up but it says the camera mounts above the license plate. Mine is on the left of the bumper. How did you mount yours, and where? I thought the best place would be above the camper door directed down?..

This camera can be mounted anywhere, it just so happens that it's primary mounting position can be the license plate bracket. I own a TT & not a cab-over. The mounting bracket will accommodate any mounting. The camera bracket also has 3-ratchet type locking positions. I agree with reddog1. You should look around, there are many different options.
