1. Walk around the campsite to get an idea of how much clearance you have. Look overhead. Plan how you are going to back in and tell the guide your plan so you are each on the same plan. WHO IS GOING TO WATCH THE TRUCK FRONT AND REAR AND WHO IS GOING TO WATCH THE TT.
2. Adjust BOTH review mirror so you can see the ground at the TT tires.
3. SLOWLY back up looking where the tires track. This is especially true when you are backing up "straight". Hold the steering wheel at the bottom and turn you hand the way you want the trailer to move.
4. It is MUCH easily to back in from the drivers side so you can see the trailer swing.
5. Do not jack-knife. Pull up and try a little straighter. Having said this, I like to ALMOST jack-knife because I am by myself and do not have a guide. I can watch the trailer swing until I get the rear of the TT where I want it (watching from the drivers side), then swing the front around.
6. About 1/2 way or when you are not sure. Get out and walk around. Tell your guide you plan on how you are going to back up.
