I think the hardest thing is for the spotter to understand they need to be seen (or talking on radio/phone). If you can't see them (or hear them), that is the start of trouble. When I am backing up and cannot see my wife, I stop and wait for her to appear. Take your time, don't be afraid to get out and check several times... and don't forget, when you get backed in, make sure there is room for the slide(if you have one).. Once you get a few successes, you will be much more confident... then you can start looking for the best spot to back into that is level side to side so no boards are needed under tires... and so on.
I love the fact that my wife can sleep in when we are camping, love that she does not have to go down a dark path at night to use the facilities if needed, etc. I don't mind that I can sit in rocker and enjoy my coffee as the campground is waking up, read or just relax...
