A lot of good advice. For me, the best thing I can say is to assess the site when you get there. I mean, actually get out and see the path you want your trailer to take. You can look at the final landing point, but the path the vehicle and trailer will take are equally important.
When I was teaching a friend, I painted about six 12"x12" pieces of plywood bright orange. Then I arranged them in an arc in the parking lot and had him hit each square with the trailer tire, backing on the drivers side of the truck. This helps him now when visualizing how he wants the trailer to back up into the site.
