Any time you use 4x4 on pavement, It is a bad idea. Front tires, and rear tire, and left or right tires do not turn at the same RPM, especially while turning. That puts serious strain on the axles, drive shafts, and transfer cases. you tires have to be able to slip to relieve the binding. they cannot slip on pavement.
