Backing with stabilizers
I have heard that you cannot back with stabilizers on. I expect no sharp turns but doesn't seem reasonable not to be able to back with them on. What's the truth?

Once in a while if you are backing with tight turns it's best to remove the equalizer bars or chains hanging loose. The bars have some leeway for maneuvering backwards.
