It is simple to remove the camera from the tailgate. Currently mine is taped just under the camper door. I want to raise it and I think I will mount it permanently on the door to the sewer dump. Course you have to unhook it when you take the camper off, but unless it's wireless that will always be the case. The connection is just a plug-in right behind the bumper, leaves you with the camera and about 2-3 feet of wire. Now whether I can put it all back together in 10 years when I change trucks.... doubtful.
