Backup Cameras

How are you going to hold a tablet and back up? The iBall camera has a strong magnetic mount so you don't have to find a place to clip it on. I use it when backing into a site as well by mounting on the bumper. The newer version's monitor is bigger and is held in place for you.

I see some need to have 110v. how do you use it as backup

I have this one and love it. It works as an observation camera so you can see what's going on behind you while driving. Very helpful when you get that one moron who likes to ride your bumper.

Don't waste your money. Our new camper has one but it is almost useless in backing in a campsite and it doesn't help at all on your blind sides. Nothing like the DW as a spotter.

Looks lIke you are getting info on backup cameras that are wired or that uses RF wireless.

I'm like you looking for info on WiFi or bluetooth cameras that pair up to a tablet.

Maybe someone will give us some info.

I just installed a license plate bracket one on my truck, and it works great. Also bought one to install on the fiver which I can switch when backing that up. Haven't installed that one yet, but it works great in my mind! Both have mirror images, so everything looks the same as in the mirror. Using my edge insight as the monitor. Bought off eBay for about 25 bucks each.

The problem is they see things like you are looking out the window, not like you see things in your rear view mirror. In other words if there is a tree on the drivers side of your trailer in the back it will show up on the right hand side of your viewfinder. With a back up camera, the tree will show up on the left side of the screen if the tree is on the left side of the trailer.

The security camera will get you all confused until you begin to get used to it. I would recommend a back up camera, they are pretty low cost these days. I put in a wired camera in my shuttle van, and it has a 32 GB memory card, so it records the front and rear view all the time.

Check out this website, AliExpress.com Search for back up camera. They sell just about anything you can imagine. Put in wireless. You might also want to power the camera with 12 volts, and then you can watch it from inside to see what is behind you, or watch from the cab mounted screen.

A lot of the cameras these days have a setting to reverse the image to address the issue described.

We have the Swift Hitch and the EyeBall but I have to say that Swift Hitch get a High 5 and a Atta' Boy for their customer service and handling of a unit that was out of warranty and did not work. They replaced it with a new camera and monitor. WOW great job Swift Hitch!!
