- LynnmorExplorerNearly all travel trailers have a 2-5/16" coupler.
- sp8goldExplorerEverything I ever had was the 2 5/16" ball

- mobeewanExplorerSize should be on stamped or etched on the coupler by the coupler manufacturer along with manufacturers info and coupler weight ratings. Could be hard to read if too much paint or rust is present.
- jerem0621Explorer IIMake sure the ball has the weight rating to cover the GVWR on your trailer.
I have seen 2 5/16 balls with 6,000-30,000 lbs rating. It should be stamped right on the top of the ball.
Same goes for the other size balls too...just in case you ever have to tow a smaller trailer with a smaller ball.
Thanks!
Jeremiah - opnspacesNavigator IIYes 2 5/16 plus if your hitch is an equal-i-zer there is a maximum length on the shank of the ball and it's fairly short.
