Batteries

Johnson Controls makes Mal-Mart batteries. Who makes Sam's Club and Costco batteries?

Yah, probably. They're split into 2 batt boxes, 4 batt (6v) in each and then the two OEMs in the normal 2 batt cubby hole...

P.S put a dead switch in that camper, even thow you turn off the panel switch, it don,t kill everything.

used wal mart years most have lasted 6years ,use them and put them on a battery tender when your done. any battery takes some care. the two in my boat right now are all most seven years old ,used for the trolling motor, read them this afternoon 12.5 and 12.7 think I,m right ,theres only three places in the U.S.A that make batteries they just have different tags.

The best "bang for the buck" is a pair of golf cart batteries (GC2) from Sams Club or Costco. Not AGM, so you have to maintain the water level.

AGM GC2 batteries DO exist, they are hard to find and EXPENSIVE !

Everything 'better' is going to cost more except possibly switching to 6v GC2.

Consider reviewing your charging system and maintenance routine at the same time.

If you want cheap but good I would go with 2 6v batteries from Costco/Sams club. Many have reported good success with these. Check to make sure your battery compartment will fit them.

Personally I don't see AGM as a good choice since they are so expensive unless you really hate checking and adding water every few months or you want to put them where venting is poor..

For the price of AGM I would go to lithium. My DIY lithium battery cost less than AGM comparing usable AH.
