What trailer do you have???
Most trailers need a battery to operate lights, water pump, furnace, water heater....items that need 12V DC power.
And a lot use the trailer battery to provide 12V DC power to trailer brakes if Emergency Break Away Switch should get pulled out.
So what trailer do you have???
