5. Hood fan....PLEASE offer a low draw and QUIET replacement!!! We have to replace it anyways, sounds like a Cessna flying over.
PWM Voltage Controller (2 pics, 1 video) to slow down the vent fan worked for me. :)
7. Fans? I'm thinking about getting some DC powered fans.
We've owned a Fan-tastic Fan Endless Breeze 12 vdc fan for many years now and while it does move a lot of air it is IMO quite noisy. A couple of years ago I mounted a 1000 watt PSW inverter in the front pass through cargo compartment and wired out dedicated duplex receptacles to each side of the bed and the galley, along with an outside feed, so I can now instead use much quieter, inexpensive 10" 120 vac table fans that draw about 30 watts apiece and provide quite good air flow.
8. Generator enclosure? It is rated at something like 58db at 25ft, but I try to be courteous to other campers and not really keen on idling the diesel, either.
I built one for my EU2000i that proved quite effective but since this Champ you're buying is quite a bit different in size and shape I'm not sure how you would adapt my design. Pics and videos are in my gallery, near the end.
10. Battery charging....what is the "fastest" charging I can do for the GC2s? I was looking for the Costco 6v but I couldn't find it online. Likely either those or the Trojans. What is the maximum amps I could use to charge them? Do I need to go with 75 amp charger, or is 55 max, or what???
JMO but once you decide to invest in more than just a single flooded battery you really need to choose your batteries based on the characteristics of the charger you intend to use to maintain them. There's little point in investing in more costly AGMs that may have different requirements than flooded if you can't properly maintain them ... matching one to the other is the key, along with a proper installation using cable of the appropriate gauge to minimize voltage loss under load.
