Or the fridge has the heater, but no way to turn it off. Dometic did that on a lot of fridges, mine included.
My Dometic fridge is the same; it has a DC powered heater element with no way to switch it off. A simple toggle switch from Radio Shack took care of that parasitic drag and makes quite a difference on the longevity of the batteries between charges. I also added a similar switch to the stereo to keep it from constantly being illuminated and drawing power.
