Generally there is no good or wrong in RV setups.
Each owner has different needs and different checkbook.
OP is talking about spending $5000 on batteries only, what should be followed by adequate solar power, B2B charger, 2nd alternator and HD electric panel.
The 10 grands don't go very far when you start playing this game.
