Seeing as how these batteries are able to take a charge so much faster, I'm wondering if it is possible to eliminate the generator entirely and charge straight from truck? I already have an after market 80 amp alternator installed from the previous owner. Taking out my genset and batteries could free up 300 to 400 lbs I'm thinking.
Alternator voltage might be too low after 30 minutes either way to get a full charge.
You will not be running the air conditioner for long on two batteries.
May need more capacity with no generator as a back-up.
Do you have solar yet? I recommend 200+ watts either way.
