Lots involved in that and since a key input will be alternator charging, I ended up at 12v nominal. Also didn't want to worry about solar panel series for higher voltage at the cost of shading impacts. You don't get much more efficient inverting % wise from 12v to 48v. Best pro is cable sizing really. I'm looking at inputs of upto 370amp coming in and pushing close to a 0.3c charge rate on the array. I could bulk charge basically in 3 hrs without going beyond recommended charge profile.
