I was really hoping Wayne would make the camping trip this weekend. He lived in his Bigfoot 4 days a week, working out of town, for years. He swears his single 12 volt AGM with 50watt panel was more than enough. This was in foggy San Quentin to boot! ...
FAKE NEWS! Five nights, four days a week for five years. Rain, shine and fog. San Quentin State Prison Parking lot. One 100 AH Lifeline AGM battery,
130 watts of solar. I monitored my AH usage with a Trimetric. I used 22 to 28 AH per day, using my laptop, watching TV, and lights. Typically I was in my TC from about 1400 hr till my bed time of 2200 hr. I would get up about 0530 hrs to do breakfast and get ready for work.
I used a Wave3 for heat. I only ran my generator to charge my battery two times i five years. I did run the generator to use the microwave and a few times for the A/C.
I learned it is much easier and cheaper to learn how to use less battery than it is to add and maintain more. Although I have a couple of 400 and 500 watt inverters, I only use two inverters 175 watt.
