I also looked at the posts regarding Kz built trailers, as the OP stated there were allot of negitive recommending other brands......
We went to a RV show and looked at allot of trailers in including the 5th wheel we bought from Kz (G384RLT).....We were at the show the second day in the afternoon it had been open and looked at a number of trailers both 5th wheels and TT which there were allot of..... The Kz brand of trailers along with Montana's were the last one we looked at, we did not like the layout of the Montana's even thought we/I thought they were pretty well built...
This come to the Kz, as with the Montana's the DW and I ask tons of questions about both the Montana's and the Kz's, the saleman answered every question, took the time to show us how everything works and spent I believe more time than most salesman would....I myself crawled under over and thought the KZ we ended up buying, I looked in corners, in cabinets, behind the TV's under the sinks all the while the sales man was right there answering questions ......
Some may say he was doing his job trying to sell a trailer, but I have never seen any salesman under a trailer on his back showing you features of the trailer ........
Anyway I believe the Kz trailers are well built, think of 3 or 4 hundred people going thought your trailer and see how it holds up opening, closing, pulling
shades up and down, turning everything and everything and see how your trailer holds up...... We saw allot of stuff in trailers not holding up, door hings loose, hand rail's bent or loose, lights already out....We saw none of this with the Kz trailers we were in and the one we bought.....Mind you that they may have pepped their trailer more than the other dealers or MFG might have but I do not think so .......
I have to say that our 5th wheel has real wood in it, none of that press board, the drawers have metal slides easy close slides, the steps are the new mor-ride steps along with the mor-ride pin-box.....As well you can see how the wiring is routed and fuses are out in the open both inside an under the storage are....
So again we are happy with our Kz buy, talking with others who have bought Kz's before and after they were bought they all seem happy with what they have bought......
Of course there is always owners that have bought trailer like care that are just not up to standard, life happens....There also OP's who just want to tell you how bad a unit it is and buy what they have because it's the best thing they have ever owned....If you look at all these different MFG site's and even on the site you will see people slamming other MFG, some you wonder if they even have the trailer that they claim is the best thing since sliced cheese.....
The way I look at it is that trailers talk to you, some say hey buy me because I am really good, others say hey buy me I'm nice but can't meet your needs, others just say you can't afford me so don't bother me....Then there is the trailer that really talks to you, i'm the one for you, we fit you needs, we will have many good time together for years to come.... This is the trailer you want to buy no matter what brand it is ! !
Enjoy, good luck, BTW swing over to the KZ-Family site http://kzfamilyforum.com/ :) and read the may years of campers enjoying the Kz products they bought ! !
