They are a gimmick to lure people into believing maint is easy. But they are no replacement for doing it right and are more likely to leak than not.
Even when one follows the directions to a tee you will have grease blow outs on at least some of your wheels. BTDT
You will notice that it's mostly the people here who have been doing this for a long time and have lots of experience are the ones to tell you not to use them.
