Bed clearance
How much clearance is needed between the front of camper to front of truck bed. If my rubber bumpers touch the front of bed, I only have .5 inch at the top.

OK that expalins your situation of the top rubbing. Those strips are intended to be used with the Happijac system which has a built in bumper for the plastic strips to rub on. So I would suggest that you place a spacer along the bottom of your bed to stop the TC from being so close to the top of the bed edge or get some of the rubber bumpers like other TC's have. I wonder why the dealer let you do that? Or maybe you didn't go thru a dealer, whatever...I'd get something in there to stop the rubbing. JMHO...others may suggest something else.
