I removed the one over the dinette window because it covers too much of the glass. I still need to raise the hangers for the day/night shades because they even are low enough that they cover glass. I plan on doing them all that way at some point. Not for weight, but for better window visibility. Good suggestion for the OP though, if there are enough of them it might add up a bit.
This whole concept is hard for me to relate to though. My truck and camper weighs 19,000..... I often brings rocks home, on purpose. ;)
