Amazing ideas here. I was hesitant to make this post but glad I did. I think we can do this guys! The lights are coming on!
Camper uses truck battery mainly, I have 2 small AGMs in there to turn the lights on. they weigh about 8 lbs each.
I do have a heavy bed mat, but I left it in because I need the 3/8" to help the camper clear my cab and didn't want anything sliding around. I know that sucker weighs a lot. What would you think about replacing it with foam board? Thanks TomG
One more. What is your battery situation? If you always have hookups, you could save 20-30 pounds with a smaller onboard battery. A little 35AH AGM would be sufficient between hookups. Do you use a heavy bed mat? They can weight 30-40 pounds.
