Guess I'm naive. I've towed my 24 foot, 6000+ lb trailer all over the place through all kinds of conditions with two different half tons. Never, ever, not even once have I had any handling or control issues, even during emergency maneuvers.
My Ram 1500 can fling it all over the place at will with complete control. I can't see why 5 or 6 more feet and a 1000 lbs is going to suddenly tip it into the "no way" category.
I'm looking hard at these brands right now.

Here's one that's half ton towable and has a bedroom slide. It has very little payload though.
