One has to be careful when it comes to payload. I had a 2002 F-150 two wheel drive. The sales sticker showed the standard towing package plus an option that gave it and extra 500 lbs. of payload.
Not having towed a TT since the 1970’s we decided to rent a 25 ft. TT with slide, it was well within the listed F-150 truck limits. However, what I did not know was that this F-150 also had the low emissions package; which was a fancy way of saying it had a 200 hp. V-6.
10 days in the Ozarks with a top speed of 50 to 55 mph and having to play the gas pedal to keep it from down shifting was a TV lesson well learned.

You looked at the wrong 150 truck limits. there are as many 150 versions as there are trailers. Some will only tow 3500lbs, and some will tow 11,000lbs. You have to look at the capacities for the specific 150 truck you are using. You also MUST first know which F150 you have.
